Frequently Asked Questions
How do I pay for Counseling?
Understanding how counseling is covered can be confusing. To make things easier, we take a variety of insurances, and will verify for your benefits for you to let you know how it will be covered. For those with insurances out of network, or without insurance at all, we provide a self-pay option. Contact our office so that we can walk you through the process of getting started.
Is Counseling Confidential?
We take confidentiality very seriously. Not only is counseling protected by Federal Law, but we go well beyond what is required. We would love to tell you more if you have any questions!
I’m not religious, can you still help?
We have a service unique to our community in the fact that we provide an extra helping hand in an individual’s journey with their faith. However, we welcome all clients who are seeking help, and it is not based on their religious views. No one will feel discriminated or unheard by our counselors.

Testimonials: See what others have to say about our counseling services:
“I’m incredibly grateful for the treatment I’ve received at Lighthouse. I feel like my treatment with them has been very beneficial to my sobriety and I actually look forward to my appointments. I find myself telling my counselor “I see why you’re a professional,” at every visit. Whatever you may be struggling with, reach out to them. I guarantee they can help. Request to see Jane at their Berlin office. She’s fabulous!“ -Kaity B.
“I can’t say enough great things about the ladies in the Salisbury office!! They are so kind, considerate and genuine. Even though they are a church based business they respect everyone’s beliefs and never push religion or judge. Even though I was very hesitant to go and I felt I didn’t need therapy…. I went. It’s the best thing I ever did for myself. After leaving the office it’s as if the weight of the world is lifted off my shoulders. I didn’t even realize before attending therapy I had so much pinned up stress and lack of direction. Now its like a gift to myself each week. They encourage me to do different exercises throughout the week to help me decompress. They have taught me tools and outlets to maintain focus and help deal with different situations that may arise. I have learned so much about myself and how to use the skills I have to be the most productive. I know now, if I don’t take care of myself I can’t possibly take care of anyone else. I am learning to manage my life rather than my life managing me !!! And most importanly…I finally stopped existing and started living. I encourage everyone to go even if your life seems on track. Your worth it !!!!!!!“ -Leslie S.
